AUTHORITIES are investigating a fire that left an 8-year-old girl dead and another missing in the early hours of Sunday.
Stonix News reports that emergency services were called at approximately 7.15am to a Bayside Court property following reports a townhouse was on fire.
Upon arrival, the property was fully involved.
Emergency services have since located the body of an 8-year-old child.
One person, believed to be a woman in her 30s, remains unaccounted for.
As of the time of filing this report, no other injuries had been reported.
A crime scene has been declared and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
