PREMIER League crawling giant, Manchester United Football Club, on Monday, sacked its coach, Erik Ten Hag over incessant game losses.
This was made known in the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of the club.
Stonix News reports that Ten Hag’s tenure has been laced with lots of difficult times and defeats for the team which had lasted for two seasons and has, therefore, mounted pressure on the manager.
According to the statement, Ten Hag will be replaced by Ruud Van Nistelrooy who will take charge of the team as an interim head coach, supported by the current coaching team, whilst a permanent head coach is being scouted for.
The statement reads thus: “Erik Ten Hag has left his role as Manchester United men’s first-team manager.
“We are grateful to Eric for everything he has done during his time with us and we wish him well in the future.

“Erik was appointed in April 2022 and led the club to two domestic trophies, winning the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024.
“We are grateful to Erik for everything he has done during his time with us and wish him well for the future.
“Ruud van Nistelrooy will take charge of the team as interim head coach, supported by the current coaching team, whilst a permanent head coach is recruited.”
Reacting to the news, one X user, @BBQ Penguin commented thus: “He did it to himself unfortunately. Too many needless changes and strange team selections. Hopefully we stay away from Southgate & Potter.”
