HERITAGE Energy Operational Services Limited (HEOSL), operator of the OML 30 Joint Venture, has strongly refuted what it described as “baseless, malicious and defamatory” allegations against its Chief Executive Officer.
In a statement issued on Friday, 26th September, the company said its attention had been drawn to a video circulating on social media, which it insists makes “entirely false claims” about the CEO.
“We unequivocally and categorically reject these allegations, fabricated and without any basis in fact,” the company declared. “These claims constitute a deliberate and malicious attempt to mislead the public and harm the reputations of both our CEO and our organisation.”
The firm emphasised that under the CEO’s leadership, Heritage Energy has upheld the highest standards of integrity and accountability.
“His leadership has been the driving force behind our significant investments in community partnerships on behalf of our Joint Venture Partners and sustainable growth across the Niger Delta,” the statement noted. “His record of integrity, professionalism and corporate stewardship speaks for itself.”
Heritage Energy insisted that it has always prioritised transparency and ethical conduct in its operations.
“At HEOSL, we remain committed to financial transparency, ethical leadership, and responsible energy development,” the statement added. “These values have consistently guided our operations and stakeholder engagements.”
The company further urged the public to dismiss the social media claims and rely only on official communication channels for accurate information.
“We urge the public and all our valued stakeholders to disregard this malicious post. We believe in open and honest communication and encourage reliance only on verified information from our official communication channels,” it said.
