Meanwhile, condolence messages have been pouring out from the leadership of the church and members of the Redeemer Men’s Fellowship of RCCG Shekinah Mega Parish, Delta Province 2 Headquarters, Warri.

In his message, Pastor in charge of the parish, Dr Obasa, said “On behalf of the leadership of the Church, I would like to appreciate all our men for their sacrifices, condolences and commiserating with our father in the Lord and his family at this difficult time.

“I would also like to encourage all the men in Shekinah concerning our mother who slept in the Lord. May the Holy Spirit do in us His work of Comfort, and most especially in the life of our father the PICP and his family. He needs our support and prayers at this time.

“Our mother did not die, but slept in the Lord. When a beloved one sleeps in the Lord, we take solace in the Word of God that the separation is temporary; we shall still meet again at the feet of our Lord Jesus Christ someday.

“The Bible encourages us to comfort ourselves with this truth. She has gone to be with the Lord her saviour and master. Her salvation is complete, she has a new glorified body, her sorrows, pains and tears have been wiped away: she is now rejoicing in the Bosom of Jesus in heaven, beholding the face of Jesus and the Father, singing praises with Apostles Peter and Paul, the Elders, the Angels and the faithfuls who have gone ahead. She must have been introduced to the Father by Jesus, given her mansion, given the manna of heaven to eat, drunk from the rivers of life flowing in heaven and exploring the beauty of heaven where there is no day or night. This is the truth of the word of God.

“We should appreciate God for the impact of her Godly life: her love for God, her sacrifices for the kingdom, the orphans, the widows and her faithful service to our father in the Lord by standing with him through thick and thin in the ministry.

“As men we must understand these truths so that we can remain strong and steadfast in our service to God without fear.

“We must work hard to encourage our fellow brethren, leave no room for discouragement, uphold the weak among us, double our efforts in serving God because we are at the end times, Jesus is coming soon. We must tell others that God is Good at all times; whether in life or in death, He remains our faithful Father.

“Lastly, we must keep upholding our father the PICP and his family in prayers. Be an encouragement to him, remember he is a human being like us. Don’t allow the work of God to suffer. Be an encouragement to every member of the Church.

“IThess 4:13-18, John14:1-3, John 5:24, 1John 3: 2-3, Rev 2:17, Rev 21: 4-7, Rev 22:4-5. Rev 22:12.”

On his part, Brother Osifo, a member of the fellowship, said “I am certain heaven is rejoicing right now that a soul has been won.

“She’s definitely spending her eternity with God. She lived a life far away from the worldly distractions.

“Certainly she made it. We that she left behind have a challenge to make eternity with Christ.

“Mummy, rest in the bosom of the Lord.”
