Adeboye to Christians: Let’s Stop Burying Our Wounded Soldiers

Ola ‘Kiya, Reporting

Revered General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has charged Christians, worldwide, to stop the habit of burying their wounded soldiers in battle.

The 79-year-old cleric also warned Christians to leave the reverie of accusing the devil of being responsible for all their afflictions.

He said “sin brings the wrath of God upon a sinner, irrespective of the spiritual standing of the fellow before he or she fell into sin.”

“As a body, we are not to bury wounded soldiers who are still struggling to survive.

“Unfortunately, that’s what many so-called Christians do; we take away the life support from dying soldiers and make their journey to hell faster!,” the Man of God fondly called Daddy G.O, said.

Admonishing the body of Christ to work on its support system in an atmosphere of love and affection, he warned against unhealthy competition.

“There is enough room at the top for all children of God, so there is no need to pull anyone down in order to rise.

“Don’t become an enemy to yourself. A house divided against itself shall not stand (Matthew 12:25),” he warned.

Speaking in Tuesday’s Open Heavens, ‘It may not be the devil,’ Adeboye said many Christians under attacks were being tormented by God, not the devil.

According to him, oftentimes, it is God punishing such Christians for one unconfessed disobedience or the other.

“If you have sinned, you must not be too proud to repent. Likewise, when others have sinned, it is not your place to say whether they would be forgiven or not,” he advised.
