B-R-E-A-K-I-N-G: Aftermath Of Stonix News Reports, Construction Begins At CCHS Ogori Road

Ola ‘Kiya, Reporting

BARELY five days after your darling www.stonixnews.com unearthed the deplorable state and ongoing rot at the Community Comprehensive High School, Ogori in Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area of Kogi State, a construction work has begun on the deplorable road leading to the school.

www.stonixnews.com gathered that the construction of a single layer surface dressing of the road from the market square to CCHS is being carried out by the Nigerian Army.

The ongoing construction

A terse WhatsApp message forwarded by the CCHS principal, Mr Philip Ajikanbi, to Stonix News on Saturday morning revealed that the construction is ongoing at the moment.

This is coming, as contained in the message, through the influence of a worthy son of Ogoriland and a senior officer of the Nigerian Army, Major General Erema Akerejola.

Major General Erema Akerejola

Major General Akerejola is of the great, well-respected, inimitable Eminefo Royal Dynasty of Opa Quarters at Enidede, Ogori.

General Erema is said to be the eldest son of the HRH Professor Olugbemiro Akerejola (the UbuoroAjagajigi of Ogori); who is the eldest son of the HRH G.B. Akerejola (the Ologori of Ogori, Eminefo III) and Olori Grace Akerejola.

The General was born in the 70s, attended ABU Staff Primary School; the Nigerian Military School Zaria for my secondary education and the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, fully, taking to the army as a career.

Below is the unsigned terse message of hope:

“CONSTRUCTION OF SINGLE LAYER SURFACE DRESSING OF OGORI MARKET- COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL ROAD, OGORI.

“This is to inform everyone that the Nigerian Army is constructing a one kilometer road from the Market to Ogori Community Comprehensive High School.

“The project is influenced and brought to the community by our son Maj Gen Akerejola Erema.”

“We shall keep updating you as the project progresses.

“Thank you to the Nigerian Army and to our son.

“While wishing everyone a restful weekend, attached are pictures of work in progress.”

While this gesture is heartwarming and commendable, Stonix News calls on other highly placed Ogori sons and daughters in across Nigeria and the diaspora to come to the aid of their ancestral home in terms of infrastructure and security.

Stonix News had reported in its Tuesday November 14, 2023 viral publication with the headline: “This Is The State Of CCHS Ogori,” unearthing the dearth of infrastructure and insecurity in the Small Jerusalem with a call on the Kogi State government and alumni of the school to intervene.
