THE leadership of the Omadino Federated Communities in Warri Federal Constituency has distanced itself from a statement credited to Chief Priest Roland Yomere, who claimed that the community had entered into a “renewed alliance” with Tantita Security Services Limited.
In a press statement released on Saturday, 8 November, the Omadino Community Management Committee declared that Yomere had no mandate to speak on behalf of the community or represent its position in any capacity.
The statement, jointly signed by the Committee’s Chairman, Mr Tuoyo Mogbeyiteren, and Secretary, Mr Benjamin Akoreh, reaffirmed that Omadino’s boundary neighbour is Ugborodo Community, not Gbaramatu, as Yomere had alleged during a media briefing earlier that day.
The Committee said: “Our attention has been drawn to a press release circulating on social media by Chief Priest Roland Yomere on 8 November 2025, wherein he purported to speak and act on behalf of the Elders, Management Committee, Youth Executive and entire people of Omadino Community.
“We wish to restate that our community’s position regarding the Tantita surveillance contract in the Niger Delta has been properly documented and communicated to the public and relevant authorities, including Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited.
“Chief Priest Yomere does not have the authority or mandate to represent Omadino Community, and his statement should therefore be disregarded in its entirety.”
The leadership further emphasised that Omadino has no boundary issues with the Gbaramatu people, contrary to Yomere’s claim.
“For the avoidance of doubt, Omadino’s recognised boundary neighbour is Ugborodo Community.
“The mandate to speak or act on behalf of Omadino rests solely with the Tuoyo Mogbeyiteren-led Omadino Community Management Committee,” the statement added.
The Committee urged members of the public to ignore Yomere’s comments, describing them as misleading and unauthorised.
