SEVEN days after, gunmen have freed the abducted traditional ruler, the Oloso of Oso Ajowa in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State, Oba Clement Omoola Jimoh.
A family source said the monarch was released on Wednesday.
The source added that the distraught monarch is already undergoing medical examination in an undisclosed hospital.
Stonix News had reported that gunmen, last week Thursday, invaded the palace of the monarch, forcefully abducted and whisked him to an unknown destination.
Thereafter, the abductors had demanded 100 million naira as ransom and later reduced it to 10 million naira.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ondo State Police Command, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, has confirmed the development.
She couldn’t confirm it the demanded ransom of N10 million was paid before the monarch’s release.
