B-R-E-A-K-I-N-G: Commuters Stranded As Flood Takes Over Olodo Area of Ibadan(photos)

A Sunday evening torrential downpour has taken over Olodo area of Ibadan with several road users stranded, Stonix News can report.

The rain began around 3:00p.m shortly after worshippers were returning home from their various religious centres.

A lady resident in the area said the flood has tooken over the Olodo road between Galilee & Olodo Garage, along the way to Iwo.

She said two big electricity poles fell and broken and now lying across the road.

“That’s the result of today every rain. The two buses carrying passengers, they all got down when the driver was moving into the water.

“So, the driver got stranded. Some of the pessengers had to go rescue him,” she noted.

No human casualty has been reported as of the time of filing the report.

It was, however, gathered that the bridge that the Oyo State government started and yet to be completed since last 2022 hasIMG 20230723 WA0013IMG 20230723 WA0012IMG 20230723 WA0011IMG 20230723 WA0009 reportedly collapsed.

Residents of the area called on Seyi Makinde to come to their rescue.
