B-R-E-A-K-I-N-G: Leke Adeboye Apologises For ‘Goat’ Insult On RCCG Pastors

Ola ‘Kiya, Reporting

Brilliant but loquacious last born and son of reverred General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Leke Adeboye, has apologised for passing a sweeping ‘goat’ insult on pastors of the global mission.

Recall that Leke, who’s the Senior Personal Assistant to his father, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, had, during the week, described RCCG pastors, who preached after the reverred GO had spoken and preached last Sunday, as ‘goats,’ not ‘sons.’

Daddy GO had, in his message which went viral, taken the Federal Government to task on the haemorrhage ongoing in the sale of crude oil and the stupendous percentage of what is left in the remaining revenue used to service loans incurred by the present government.

The inglorious remark, which he made on his Instagram handle few hours after his father’s timely warning and admonition to the FG, had gone viral, arousing some unpleasant comments on the social media against the RCCG mission with many calling for his head.

Writing on his Instagram page, Leke, described who still preached after his father had ended preaching which was beamed live in all RCCG parishes worldwide, as goats.

”Why would you go and preach another sermon after Daddy GO had just finished speaking and preaching.

”You are not a son, you are a goat, sir. Next Thanksgiving Service, just do Altar Call, then Thanksgiving,” he had written.

There was a follow-up that a three-man disciplinary panel had been set up to investigate the young chap who’s being accused of bringing unnecessary shame to his family and the church.

In a statement sighted by Stonix News on Thursday evening, young Adeboye, in his ‘MY SINCERE APOLOGY,’ pleaded for forgiveness from everyone offended by his unsavoury post.

“I wish to use this medium to tender my unreserved apologies on the statement made from my social media handle about some of our esteemed Pastors

“The disciplinary measures taken by the mission is well received and this period will be used to reflect and introspect.

“I wish to crave your indulgence to please forgive my extreme statement which I wish to emphasise was absolutely not intended to insult or malign.

“I also wish to apologise profusely to the entire leadership and Pastors of our beloved Church who might have been hurt by this statement.

“I remain humbly yours in God’s love and mercies.

Yours in His service,” he noted.

He, however, didn’t come out clear on the “disciplinary measures” he alluded were being imposed on him as a deterrent to others.
