B-R-E-A-K-I-N-G: Terrorists Invade Houses In Kaduna, Abduct 36 Residents

Muhammed Abubakar, Reporting

Terrorists have invaded and abducted no fewer than 36 residents of Keke B Community in Millennium City, Chikun Local Government Area of embattled Kaduna State.

The incident took place on Monday night when many residents were said to be preparing to retire to bed.

Stonix News reports that three of the Kaduna-bound train passengers abducted some four months ago were released on Monday by their abductors after allegedly coughing up N100 million.

A witness told Daily Trust that the bandits, who operated unchallenged, moved from house to house picking residents and railroading them to captivity.

A resident, Muhammad Salihu, said “Many of us were still outside when the bandits attacked because it was quite early, around 8.30p.m.

“They came in a large number, shooting sporadically and brandishing weapons.

“They broke into people’s houses one after the other and kidnapped the occupants.

“One person, a motorcycle mechanic, was able to escape from the kidnappers, but they went away with 36 residents.”

Although operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command are said to be on ground after the incident, no official statement from security or government authorities as of the time of filing the report.
