AHEAD of the Saturday November 11 governorship election in Bayelsa, voters across the riverine areas of the state have vowed to massively return Governor Douye Diri and his deputy, Lawrence Eghrudjakpor to the government house.
Stonix News reports that Governor Diri and his deputy, Eghrudjakpor are the governorship candidate and running mate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Saturday election.

Already, the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has as well as the security agencies have registered their readiness for the Saturday poll.
Meanwhile, stakeholders including youths and women groups across the state, during a grassroot engagement by Concerned Bayelsans for Good Governance, have pledged to re-elect Diri and Eghrudjakpor.
The stakeholders, under the aegis of Grassroot Movement for the Re-election of DIRI/LAW, engaged the grassroots to canvass for more voters in support of the re-election of Governor Diri.
During the grassroot engagement on Tuesday, the supporters averred that Bayelsa has never had it so good until Diri brought fortunes to the people of the state.
The hordes of supporters, in their various endorsement statements, collectively affirmed that Governor Diri has proven his mettle in good governance and deserved to be returned elected.

Justifying Diri’s eligibility and best choice ahead of other candidates, Hon. Ebi Ben Okolo, who’s the Bayelsa East Coordinator and Hon. Abel Ebifemowei, the Bayelsa Central Coordinator Of the Grassroot Movement for the Re-Election of Douye Diri, told the supporters during the campaign, that the PDP has consistently delivered on its promises in the state.
They maintained that the party and its governorship candidate have the experience and knowledge required to further lead Bayelsa to a brighter and prosperous future.
Speaking at the rally too, Hon. Alex Jenakumo – Bayelsa West Coordinator and Hon.. Charity Kens Godwin – Deputy Coordinator of the Grassroot Movement, appealed to the electorate to come out en mass on the 11th of November to cast their votes for Governor Douye Diri for a second tenure.
Other stakeholders from the local government areas, wards and units such as Hon George Turner – Deputy Co-ordinator, Bayelsa East, Hon. Abel Ebifemowei (Osuwo) – Coordinator, Bayelsa Central, and Chief Natus Zebakame – Deputy Coordinator, Bayelsa Central remarked that Governor Diri’s first tenure is one good turn that truly deserves another come Saturday 11th November, 2023.
