BREAKING: FG Doles Out N5bn Palliative To Each State

TO cushion the impact of the removal of fuel subsidy, the Federal Government has announced a N5 billion palliative for each state of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum, disclosed this in Abuja on Thursday while fielding questions from State House Correspondents at the end of a National Economic Council (NEC) meeting presided over by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Stonix News reports that the council comprises governors of the 36 states, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other government officials.
