THE gale of resignation in troubled Rivers State has claimed, yet another cabinet member, this time around, the Commissioner for Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, Mrs. Inime Chinwenwo Aguma.
Her resignation, like two others in succession today Thursday, is contained in a letter signed and dated December 14, 2023.
Mrs Aguma highlighted personal reasons and pressing commitments as reasons for her resignation.
The letter reads:
“RESIGNATION AS THE HONOURABLE COMMISSIONER FOR SOCIAL WELFARE AND REHABILITATION, RIVERS STATE
I hereby tender my resignation as the Honourable Commissioner for Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, Rivers State on this day 14th of December 2023.
I thank your Excellency for the privilege to serve in the State Executive Council. My decision to resign is personal and based on other pressing commitments.
I wish Your Excellency a successful tenure and pray for best wishes in all your endeavours.
Thank you again.”
Stonix News reports that so far, the attorney general and commisioner for works both resigned earlier on Thursday from the Gov Siminalayi Fubara’s cabinet.
