THE Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has vehemently condemned the brutal killing of 16 innocent travelers from Northern Nigeria in Edo State.
The victims, who were falsely accused of kidnapping, Stonix News learnt, were brutally murdered by an enraged mob in Udune Efandion, Uromi.
According to Jamilu Aliyu Charanchi, the National Coordinator of the CNG, the incident was a result of misinformation and ignorance, which led to the mob taking the law into their own hands.
Charanchi emphasized that the victims were ordinary citizens traveling for legitimate reasons, not criminals.
The CNG strongly denounced the barbaric act and the incitement of local youths to commit such a heinous crime.
