Fire Of God Will Consume Those Messing Around With Traditional Rulers – Adeboye

Ola ‘Kiya, Reporting

FOLLOWING the killing of three traditional rulers in Ekiti and Kwara states in succession, ardent respecter and lover of traditional royal stools and General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), on Friday, rained down fire on the perpetrators of the sacrilege.

The renowned cleric and pentecostal preacher made the invocation during the well-attended RCCG monthly Holy Ghost Service programme tagged, “From The Mountain Top 2.”

Stonix News reports that the octogenarian, to underscore his sincere support for the royal stools, is the convener of an annual convention for royal fathers in Nigeria.

The preacher said elements trying to mess around with monarchs in the country would not know peace thenceforth.

“The fire of God will consume all those trying to mess around with our traditional rulers.

“Because as far as God is concerned, traditional rulers are anointed,” Adeboye averred.

Recall that the insecurity plaguing Nigeria escalated recently across the land as the blood-thirsty marauders wasted three traditional rulers within four days.

The marauders precisely, on Monday, shot dead the Onimojo of Imojo-Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Olusola; and the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, Oba David Ogunsola.

They met their untimely death when they were returning from a security meeting in Irele-Ekiti in Ekiti State, South-West Nigeria.

Same day, some pupils and teachers of a private school were also abducted in the state with huge ransom being demanded by the kidnappers.

Undaunted, the merciless marauders, on Thursday, went after the Olukoro of Koro, General Segun Aremu (retd), in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, and cruelly snuffed life out of him.

Interestingly, the retired army general was shot dead at his palace on Thursday night.

Stonix News reports that Koro is the adjoining town to Ikole Ekiti where the two traditional rulers were mauled to death on Monday.

The two towns share farm boundaries, raising concerns over the menacing dimension of the killing of traditional rulers by stone-hearted gunmen.

Meanwhile, following the marching order from President Bola Tinubu, security agencies, including the police, have deployed a chopper and armoured carriers to Ekiti.

They have vowed to bring the perpetrators to book while Nigerians continue to demand swift justice and an end to the general insecurity in the country.
