Hospitals in the Gaza Strip have recorded five new deaths from malnutrition in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health in the Hamas-run enclave reported on Monday, August 4.
According to the ministry, all five victims were adults.
The latest fatalities bring the total number of hunger-related deaths since the onset of the conflict nearly two years ago to 180, including 93 children.
Health officials continue to raise alarm over worsening humanitarian conditions in the besieged territory, where access to food and medical supplies remains critically limited.
