FORMER U.S. first lady, Melania Trump, has announced the passing of her mother, Amalija Knavs, at age 78.
Melania, on Tuesday night, made the announcement on her verified account on X, formally Twitter, describing her mom as a strong woman who always carried herself with grace, warmth and dignity.
“It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved mother, Amalija.
“She was entirely devoted to her husband, daughters, grandson, and son-in-law.
“We will miss her beyond measure and continue to honor and love her legacy,” Trump posted.
According to reports, Amalija Knavs was seriously ill and spent the festivities at a Miami hospital alongside her daughter, Melania Trump, who had to look after her.
A cause of death, as of when filing this report, was not given.
