From ‘Emi Lokan’ To 'Ebi Lokan,' Eedris Abdulkareem Laments In New Single

FOR ace Nigerian rapper Eedris Abdulkareem in his new single titled, “Emi L’okan,” the situation in Nigeria has metamorphosed from ‘Emi L’okan’ to ‘Ebi Lokan.’

“Emi lokan,” a Yoruba word of assertiveness used by President Bola Tinubu while agitating to emerge as candidate of the APC, means “it’s my turn,” which Abdulkareem says has mutated to”Ebi l’okan” – it’s time for hunger.

In the new release, the Jagajaga crooner, calls out Pastor Enoch Adeboye, President Bola Tinubu, ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, former President Goodluck Jonathan, and ruinous Godwin Emefiele over the hardship in the country.

In the song’s lead, he says Emi Lokan has turned to Ebi Lokan, as Nigerians wallow in hunger and privation across the nation.

Eedris emphasized that if it was a member of the political class that was kidnapped, all soldiers would be over the place for a rescue mission.
