By TRAGEDY struck in Benue as a young interior designer, Deborah Moses, was brutally murdered by her ex-boyfriend, identified simply as Lintex.
According to accounts from family and neighbours, Deborah had endured repeated physical abuse from Lintex throughout their relationship. When she finally decided to end things, he reportedly vowed that if he could not have her, no one else would.
On Wednesday night, Lintex disguised himself as a dispatch rider and appeared at Deborah’s estate. Although she told security guards she was not expecting a delivery, he still managed to gain access. He then forced his way into her home and stabbed her multiple times.

Neighbours who heard the commotion rushed to her aid, overpowering the attacker before handing him over to the police.
Deborah’s sister confirmed in a voice note that the young designer had long suffered violence at the hands of her ex.
The incident has sparked fresh outrage over rising cases of gender-based violence in Nigeria.
Lintex remains in police custody, as calls grow louder for justice for Deborah and stronger protection for women trapped in abusive relationships.
