THE Harris County Sheriff’s Office is appealing to the public for help in locating the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a pregnant woman on Thursday evening.
According to investigators, the collision occurred at about 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of Tidwell Road and C E King Parkway in northeast Harris County. The victim, a woman in her 20s, was driving a red Ford Mustang when she was struck from behind by a white pickup truck traveling at high speed.
The impact forced the Mustang over the median and into the path of a truck towing a trailer. Authorities said no one in the second truck was injured, but a teenager in the Mustang was transported to the hospital.
Major A. McConnell of the sheriff’s office urged the community to keep the victim’s family in their thoughts. “Please pray for the family. They’re going to need your support,” he said.
Investigators identified the suspect vehicle as a white 2009 Nissan Titan, which is expected to have front-end damage from the crash.

“We need anybody who witnessed this to reach out to us,” McConnell added. “Houston has always come through for us. Harris County has always been there for us. We need your help.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 713-221-6000.
