THE National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Lagos Territorial Office (LTO), along with other stakeholders, have received another batch of 122 returnees from Libya.
This is in continuation of the voluntary evacuation of Nigerian returnees from the North African country.

The returnees
According to a post on its official X handle, @nemanigeria, the returnees arrived on Tuesday May 28, 2024, aboard a Boeing charter flight, Al Buraq Airlines with Registration Number 5A-DMG, 737-800 at about 1640 hours.
The returnees, it further stated, comprised 39 females, 52 males, 21 children and 10 infants.

“They were offered necessary assistance by IOM with support from NEMA, NCFRMI, Nigerian immigration services, DSS and Nigeria Police.

“After the necessary profiling and biometric exercise, the returnees are expected to be given skilled training as part of the reintegration assistance being offered by IOM,” the post read.
