EX-SUPER Eagles head coach and Super Eagles legend, Augustine Eguavoen, has been appointed to serve as the Super Eagles Interim Coach.
This came after the expiration of the contract of Coach Jose Peseiro on March 1 and with no move by the NFF and the coach to reach an agreement as regards the future.
Peseiro, in a post on his X handle on Friday, hinted he’s leaving in the meantime.
This is coming despite that in April, a world cup qualifier between South Africa and Nigeria will hold.
Stonix News recalled that Eguavoen had quitted the post following the Super Eagles’ 1-0 defeat to Tunisia in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 clash.
Earlier in the tournament, Eguavoen had led the three-time champions to three straight wins against Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau.
