By A fatal road accident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, 28 August 2025, along the Irepodun stretch of the Agbowo–Ojoo Express Road in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The crash, which happened at about 2:00 a.m., involved a Mack trailer loaded with fertiliser and a DAF truck carrying cartons of Maggi seasoning.
According to preliminary findings, the incident was caused by reckless driving, leading to a rear-end collision.

The Oyo State Police Command confirmed that one person died in the accident, while three others sustained injuries.
The injured victims are currently receiving treatment in hospital.
Operatives of the Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority (OYRTMA) and police officers were swiftly deployed to the scene to ensure safety, control traffic and carry out necessary procedures.
Authorities have urged motorists to exercise caution, particularly at night, to prevent further tragedies on the busy expressway.
