Diary of a Teacher (DoT) with Titilope Ogundele

My Experience With Mother And Her Two Children In My Class

AS a corps member, I served in Agwut-Obolo, Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.
I was posted to the senior section of Community Secondary School, Agwut-Obolo.

There, I had a unique set of students in SS2 — a mother and her two children.
This woman attended the same class as her son and daughter. She wore her school uniform every day and came to school diligently.

At first, we corps members did not suspect anything unusual. She appeared just like every other student. We knew she was older, but we had no idea she was a “big madam,” nor did we suspect that her children were among her classmates. She was humble, respectful, and easy-going.

Looking back now, I salute her courage and resilience. It could not have been easy for her, yet she persevered.
She stooped to conquer!

Achieving one’s dream often comes at a price; only those willing to pay that price can truly attain their goals.
