At first, we corps members did not suspect anything unusual. She appeared just like every other student. We knew she was older, but we had no idea she was a “big madam,” nor did we suspect that her children were among her classmates. She was humble, respectful, and easy-going.
Looking back now, I salute her courage and resilience. It could not have been easy for her, yet she persevered.
She stooped to conquer!
