The Police in Rivers State, late Thursday night, arrested a member of the House of Representatives, Farah Dagogo, and some of his boys as ordered by Gov Nyesom Wike.
Wike is a presidential aspirant wine Dagogo is a governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the party’s primaries in the state.
The lawmaker and some “political thugs” were earlier declared wanted on Wednesday by Governor Nyesom Wike.
Wike had accused Dagogo of sending “cultists” to disrupt the screening of aspirants at the PDP State Secretariat in Port Harcourt.
Dagogo had, however, denied that he had a hand in the incident, accusing the governor of lying and bullying.
He urged the police to arrest and investigate Efeturi Irikefe, “Camp Commandant to the Governor” for his actions at the PDP office.
Dagogo has been in the custody of the Rivers State Police Command in Port Harcourt since Thursday night.
