Osimhen Goes Gaga, Fires Back At Finidi George

SENSATIONAL Nigerian football star, Victor Osimhen, has reacted to allegations of his and other players’ lack of commitment to the World Cup Qualifiers by former Super Eagle’s Coach, Finidi George.

George, who reportedly threw in the towel following criticisms after losing a match to Benin, had earlier alleged that it was impossible to sanction some Super Eagles players who belong to some “big men.”

Finidi also used the poster boy of Nigerian footballer, Victor Osimhen, to drive home his point that the country’s top stars are not fully committed to the Super Eagles.

Stonix News reports that Osimhen was unavailable for the two all-important World Cup qualifiers with South Africa and Benin with an official explanation that he was injured and sidelined for four weeks.

In a reaction to this, the Napoli striker did went gaga live on Instagram angrily stating that he had injury which George was aware of and that though it was not his nature to address issues, he had to address the allegations made by the coach.

While emphasizing that he plays his heart out whenever he plays for Nigeria and his club, he noted that he won’t tolerate disrespect from anyone.

“I don’t ever anticipate anything, do you understand? I had injury in the last match that we played and immediately, I went to Germany to see my son and also did MRI which I have the picture and video because I know things like this will happen. I am not dumb.

“Immediately I did the MRI, the doctor called me and I went to his office to see him. I called Finidi, but he was on the phone.

“I told one of my guys to do a video of me and the doctor speaking to Finidi.

“I don’t address issues, I let people believe what they want to believe. Whether I play for my club or for Nigeria, I play my heart out and I don’t believe what people say.

“But I won’t allow that disrespect from anybody. I respect people before disrespecting them. I won’t allow that nonsense; don’t put stain on my name!

“I have kept quiet for long and a lot of you don’t want to allow my name to rest.

“Osimhen this, Osimhen that. I don’t care what Finidi said because I will post the video in my story after this.

“I will post the pictures of the screenshot I did when I was speaking with Finidi.

“You all believe that somebody is keeping quiet because he is playing ball. No soul in this world will tell me how to live my life; nobody,” he stated.

Recall that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), after the disgraceful outing at Abidjan, hurriedly met and in their usual infantile characteristics of haste and back and forth, resolved to hire a foreign coach for the Super Eagles.
