FOLLOWING the tragic riot and death of over 100 fans on Saturday, 1st of October, 2022, the Indonesian Football League has been suspended for one week.
According to reports and a viral short clip of the incident, the tragic riot began when fans of a losing team stormed the football pitch and attacked the opposition fans.
Before the arrival and intervention of the Police, it was gathered that no fewer than 130 fans were killed in the process, and several others injured.
The game was between Arema FC and Persebaya Surabaya in the Indonesian League.
