Pastor Concludes 21 Days Fast To Shut Gate Of Death

Ola ‘Kiya, Reporting

THE Lead Pastor of Zion Ark of Covenant Int’l Bible Church Inc in Warri, Delta State, Victor Great, was literally carried into his church after subjecting himself to 21 days dry fast.

Stonix News sighted the event on a video posted on the official Facebook page of the church on Wednesday where the cleric was being carried from his car and placed on the altar of the church where a microphone was placed near his mouth to prophesy onto his flock.

In statement posted by church on the page and titled, “The Triumphant Return Of God’s Servant,” the church averred that the fasting exercise was an annual ritual for the pastor.

It added that the essence was for the pastor to go shut the gate of death against his members.

“He endured the pain, discomfort, and battle of this special season of waiting on the lord in fasting to sustain the covenant of LIFE AND IMMORTALITY in the life of the sons and daughters of Zion.

“Our father ‘’PASTOR VICTOR GREAT’’ fasted for 21 days without food, water, fruits, or any substance, based on God’s instruction that he received 16 years ago, and has done this every September since that time.

“The excitement of God’s people filled the auditorium with an overflow in every corner of Zion. Men and women came in their thousands to behold the sacrifice of this great man of God in Warri, Delta State.

“Cases were settled. The sick received healing, and the name of God was exalted because all the glory belonged to him.

“Our father is back from this journey; We praise God! VICTORY AT LAST,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, in the viral video on the church’s Facebook page, the cleric, who was dressed in an immaculate white suit, was lifted from his car to the altar by his wife and protocol officers who were also in white attires.

He was gently laid on the altar of the church where he began to weakenly prophesy on his congregation who had gathered to receive their blessing.

In an earlier video of 30 August, on the church’s Facebook page, the pastor had announced his intention to embark on the 21-day fast and prayer to “shut the gates of death.”

He had declared that: “Where I am going, you will not see me anywhere. I will go to the hiding place and cry to God for my people.

“The gate is already open where I am going. Do you think it is my will? It is an assignment. I came here to defy the gate of death and declare that there are people you will not take under my watch.

“Where I am going, you would not see me anywhere. I will go to the hiding place and cry to God for my people. Where I am going, the gate is already open.

“Do you think it is my will? It is an assignment. I came here to mock the gate of death, to say to death ‘there are people you will not kill under my eyes.'”

He had assured the congregation that he would stand in for them, like Jesus Christ, before the gate of death, and would delay the gate of death from swallowing his congregants untimely.

“Do you know how many of you are living today because Yahweh keeps using me as a gate to represent you?

“Is it not that in your family that people are dying like fowls, your brother died unprepared, your sister died, is it not the same blood? What do you think is keeping you?”

Meanwhile, the Thanksgiving service for the successful 21 days dry fast comes up Sunday, October 1, 2023 at the church auditorium located at Ekpan in Uvwie Local Government Area of the state.
