Police Recover Stolen Vehicles, Arms In Delta

THE Delta State Police Command says it has recovered two stolen vehicles as well as arms of different types from suspected kidnappers and armed robbers in Delta communities.

The command, in a statement by its spokesperson Edafe Bright, said the state police commissioner assignment team stormed the residence of a wanted suspect and recovered a Toyota hylander and Hyundai car, as well as two Beretta pistols with live ammunition.

In another development, some suspected kidnappers were arrested in the Delta community of Agbarho, while a search after the arrest of the suspects were three double barrel guns, pump action gun and ammunition.

A suspected cult member who belongs to the Vikings Confraternity was also arrested with a Baretta pistol as he confessed to being a leader of the Confraternity.
