Sacrilege! Terrorists Murder 2 Ekiti Kings

Ola ‘Kiya, Reporting

TERRORISTS suspectedly parading as kidnappers have snuffed life out of two Ekiti monarchs, a sacrilege in Yoruba land.

The traditional rulers, who were shot dead, were reportedly travelling along a community in Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

The two traditional rulers were identified as the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, Oba David Babatunde Ogunsakin and the Onimojo of Imojo-Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Samuel Olushola.

They were ambushed and killed by the gunmen on Monday while the Alara of Ara Ikole-Ekiti, Oba Adebayo Fatoba reportedly escaped by the whiskers.

The monarchs were said to be returning from a security meeting in Irele-Ekiti in a vehicle driven by Alara when they were attacked along the road.

The police spokesman in the state, Sunday Abutu, said, “I will get the details and get back please,” while responding to the dastardly act.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Ajoni Local Council Development Area, Micheal Ogungbemi, said the gunmen had attempted to kidnap the three traditional rulers before they opened fire on them.
