‘Stick To One Wife Only,’ – Emir Advises Northerners Over Worsening Economy

By Micheal Chukwuebuka

THE Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, has advised Northern men facing financial difficulties to consider having only one wife.

This, he believes, will enable them to better provide for and nurture responsible families. Bamalli expressed concerns about the negative impact of polygamy, citing the struggles of many family leaders to fulfill their obligations.

As an example, Bamalli shared that in his palace, there are 192 families, with some men having over 50 children.

He questioned how someone could adequately care for such a large number of dependents.

This highlights the practical challenges of polygamy, especially in difficult economic times.

Bamalli’s advice aims to promote more stable and sustainable family structures, particularly in the face of economic hardship.

By limiting themselves to one wife, men can focus on providing a better life for their families.
