(+VIDEO) Nigeria Airforce On Historical Flypast Display In Ibadan

Seun Ajanaku, Reporting

A historic moment to mark the inauguration of the new President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, was a flypast by the Nigeria Airforce that went down across the sky over the University of Ibadan.

The display by the airforce pilots was on Monday evening, few hours after the inauguration ceremonies in Abuja and 28 state capitals of the federation.

One of the highlights of this spectacular Flypast by the three aircrafts was the display (inscription) of O.Y.O boldly across the sky and the acrobatics display by these aircrafts followed by glorious fireworks!

Even the cool weather conditions and low clouds across the sky added special effects to the flypast display.

Students of the University of Ibadan and residents of Agbowo, Orogun, Ajibode, Ojoo, Barika and others were held in awe with utmost excitement as they screamed and cajoled while the spectacle lasted.

One of the younger generations, who witnessed the event around Orogun area of Ibadan, said: “It is an honour to be born now and see the delivery of this special airborne spectacular display.”

Another younger one enthused thus: “I will wish to grow up and do this. I will be an air force pilot!”

A lecturer from the Department of Communication and Language Arts (CLA), University of Ibadan, Dr Tunde Ojegbuyi, who described the objects as “ceremonial birds” on a platform, expressed his experience thus:

“The ceremonial birds came very close to the roofs of our flat around Philipson Road!

“My children were scared initially, but they later went out to take some pictures. It was a beautiful spectacle.”
