THE General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has explained why all Nigerians should go out today and vote and why he will not vote.
He gave the explanation in his #MakeYourVoteCount video of himself shared on his social media on Friday evening.
He urged Nigerians to go out, vote their choice candidates and ensure their votes count in the 2023 election.
The octogenarian said as bona fide Nigerians, they must not refuse to vote because it is their civic responsibility.
According to him, anybody who refuses to vote should not complain about the government that eventually comes to power.
As per himself, the holiness preacher said being a father to all, he would not be voting because if he voted for a particular party or candidate, he would appear unjust to his other children who belong to the other political parties.
Pastor Adeboye declared that he has never given any instruction to his followers to vote for a particular candidate or political party and will never never give such directive because all parties are massively captured in RCCG.
He, therefore, reminded everyone that his assignment, as an oracle of God, is to pray for people and pray for Nigeria.
He further reiterated that his God-ordained assignment does not involve partisan politics, urging people not to distract or derail his focus.
