You Are Not Qualified To Wear Crowns, Coronets, Court Tells Ibadan Baales, Mogajis

The Chief Judge of Oyo State, Justice Munta Abimbola, has ruled that elevated Baales and Mogajis in Ibadanland should revert to their original statuses before the inauguration of the Justice Boade Commission of Inquiry.

The court, which ruled on Thursday, further issued an order of Perpetual Injunction, restraining the Baales and Mogajis from the status of elevation or wearing crowns or coronets.

Justice Abimbola said he found no merit in their application before the court.

He, therefore, dismissed the suit in its entirety and answered all their questions in the negative.

He further held that all government’s actions must be in compliance with the law of the land.
