THREE minors, aged 12, were victims of a school shooting Tuesday morning on the outskirts of Helsinki, Finland.
In a statement obtained by our source, ABC News and made available to Stonix News, Finnish police said the suspect has been arrested and investigation of the act is ongoing.
Police had earlier said three 12-year-olds were injured in the shooting before later announcing one of the children had died at the scene. The two others who were injured remained hospitalized.
The suspect, who was also 12 years old, was in possession of a firearm when arrested.
“No force was used in the apprehension.
“A firearm was found in the suspect’s possession.
“The suspect has admitted to the act during the police’s preliminary interview,” police said in a press release.

“The shooting scene in Vantaa is deeply shocking.
“My thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones and the other students and staff of Viertola school,” the prime minister, Petteri Orpo, said in a statement posted in Finnish.
President Alexander Stubb added:
“I wish strength for recovery to the injured.”
