THE Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has expressed his desires to see more women in top leadership positions across the country.

He made this known during the Edi Festival held in Ile-Ife on Tuesday, 1st of November, 2022.
The yoruba monarch said he believed in the effectiveness of women, as political leaders, urging the people to support and appreciate them.
Ooni’s Director of Media and Public affairs, Moses Olafare made this known on Tuesday via a signed official statement.

Stonix News reports that Edi Festival is an annually held festival in Ife, which celebrates the life of Moremi Ajasoro; a princess of the yoruba who lived in the 12th century.
She hailed from Offa, and was married to Oranmiyan, the heir to king of Ife.
