Tanker Drivers, Commuters Lament Deplorable Warri NPA Express Way

TANKER drivers and commuters plying the ever busy Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) expressway have cried out over the deplorable states of the road at various points.

Ahmed Yisa, a tanker driver, stated that much driving skills are needed to navigate around the route as the failed potions around the Effurun Roundabout down to the NPA gate are deep enough to cause a truck to fall.

“We always take time to pass through the bad spots, that’s why we have a hold-up at Effurun Roundabout.

“Even the bad spot close to NNPC Filling Station is enough to bring our tankers down as the road has almost been cut into two,” he lamented.

Another driver, who pleaded anonymity, stated that he almost fell at one of the failed portions and that if nothing was done urgently, the inevitable would happen.

The respondents and other commuters plying the route, therefore, called on the Delta State government to prioritize the NPA Express road as an emergency project to evert tragedies.
