THE remains of a missing 5-year-old boy was found after he reportedly drowned in a pond in Cypress.
According to Harris County Sheriff’s office, deputies arrived at the 20500 block of Keegans Ledge Lane where the child was reported missing.
The child was discovered in the pond shortly after, according to ABC13.
Although life saving measures were performed, but it was too late.
“I don’t foresee any charges being filed.
“I just foresee this as a very unfortunate accident,” Sgt Michael Ritchie, with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, said.
Sgt Michael Ritchie also said the boy had to have walked at least a quarter mile from his home to the retention pond.
He was allegedly barefoot with only a diaper and t-shirt on.
“It’s devastating. I feel for the situation right now even though it’s not my child,” Nikko Jones, a resident in the same neighborhood who has a daughter the exact same age, said.
