As against the usual norm, a moving train, on Sunday, crushed a cement trailer belonging to Dangote and a commercial tricycle in Kano metropolis of Kano State.
Stonix News reports that often, it’s usually the other way round where articulated trucks, especially of Dangote, are the ones usually involved in crushing lesser automobiles on Nigerian roads with fatalities following.
It was gathered that the train-truck-tricycle crash of Sunday occured on Obasanjo Road in Kano metropolis at about 11:30 a.m.
A witness told Stonix News that the rail track bystanders said they saw the trailer coming towards the rail line as the train was, but attempts to flag it down failed.
“When the driver of the trailer tried to cross the rail line, the train hit the vehicle and a tricycle at the same time,” the source revealed.
No info yet on whether there was human casualty or not as the time of filing report on the incident.
Stonix News, however, gathered that several persons were rushed to the Murtala Muhammad Hospital, Kano, from the scene of the accident.
It was further gathered that the passengers in the tricycle were rushed to the hospital, unconscious.
Some good-spirited Nigerians were said to have later helped in evacuating the bags of cements loaded on the truck while security operatives cordoned off the area to avert looting.
