By INTERNATIONALLY renowned boxing champion Anthony Joshua has reportedly been injured in a road traffic accident in Ogun State.
The incident occurred on Monday morning in the Makun area along the heavily trafficked Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, at about 11:00 a.m.
According to reports, an SUV conveying Anthony Joshua collided with a stationary truck on the expressway.
The exact cause of the crash remains unclear, as relevant authorities have commenced investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A video circulating online shows the boxer being rescued from the wreckage of the vehicle, with visible signs that he sustained injuries. Two other persons were confirmed dead at the scene of the accident.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement on the condition of Anthony Joshua, while emergency responders and security agencies continue their assessment of the incident.
