EMBATTLED Pastor Chris Okafor’s ex-wife, Bessem Agnes Okafor, has accused the cleric of paedophilia, alleging sexual abuse involving his daughter, as she publicly rejected his recent apology and called for a full disclosure of events surrounding his family and ministry.
Speaking during a live appearance on Aunty Dunny Reality Show on Sunday night, shortly after Chris’s supposed public apology, Bassem claimed she was married to the pastor at the age of 18 in a union she said was conducted traditionally and formally, with witnesses who are still alive.
She said the marriage produced four children and insisted she left the relationship due to what she described as years of abuse and immoral conduct.

“I left him. He did not leave me,” she said. “I left because of the shame and disgrace he brought to the body of Christ. Silence was never weakness.”
Mrs Okafor dismissed Pastor Okafor’s recent public apology to Nollywood actress Doris Ogala as damage control, alleging it lacked sincerity.
“That your apology is nothing. Tell the world the truth, you were sleeping with your own biological daughter,” she said in the video.
She further alleged that the mother of her stepdaughter, Precious, was 15 years old and a member of his choir when Pastor Okafor impregnated her.
She also accused the cleric of serial infidelity, claiming he fathered children with several women, including deaconesses in his church, some of whom she alleged were married at the time.
According to her, one Anita Chioma, whom she identified as a former deaconess, allegedly moved into the family home after she left and cared for her children while maintaining an intimate relationship with the pastor.
“How can you take my children from their mother and give them to your mistress?” she asked.
Mrs Okafor also accused the pastor of physical abuse, claiming she has medical reports from General Hospital to support her allegations.

She said she remained silent for 14 years to protect her children, whom she alleged were taken from her following a custody battle.
The accusations come amid heightened public scrutiny of Pastor Okafor following the arrest and subsequent release of actress Doris Ogala, an incident that drew widespread media attention.
In a previous livestreamed apology, the cleric acknowledged wrongdoing in general terms but denied specific allegations levelled against him.
Though the cleric hasn’t responded to these allegations, he had maintained his innocence.
While speaking about his failed marriage and custody dispute, he claimed that previous allegations made against him by Doris Ogala against were false and only emerged after he remarried.
He said his divorce occurred when his children were toddlers, adding that the court granted him full custody due to the circumstances at the time.
“My daughter was two years old and my son was four,” he said, noting that he raised them single-handedly for over 13 years.
He added that his son, Bobo, is now 17 and his daughter, Chidera, is 15.
The cleric also alleged that his former wife vowed to destroy him and his church, claiming the accusations were motivated by anger over his decision to remarry.
Neither Pastor Okafor nor his representatives have directly responded to the latest allegations of paedophilia.
As of the time of filing this report, Nigerian authorities have not confirmed any investigation related to the claims made by his ex-wife.
