What was meant to be a day of sorrow has, instead, become a tapestry of remembrance: woven together with testimonies of lives she touched. From the United Kingdom, Kampala to Ibadan, from Lagos to South Africa, and across Nigeria’s regions, the tributes are tender, heartfelt, and deeply moving. Above all, they reveal a woman who lived intentionally, served passionately, and loved generously.
This one-year immemorial is not only a solemn reflection of her earthly journey but also a celebration of a saint triumphant— one whose legacy continues to lift those she left behind, especially her beloved husband and daughter, DideOluwa, who today stands as a luminous extension of her mother’s faith, strength, and purpose.

Moments
Leading these tributes is her daughter, Princess Sharon DideOluwa, whose heartfelt remembrance sets the tone for this solemn first anniversary.
‘You Remain Alive in My Heart’ — DideOluwa
In a moving tribute that has stirred emotions far and wide, her daughter, Princess Sharon DideOluwa Adurokiya, writes with candour and courage:

DideOluwa
“Dear Mummy, it has been one year since you left us, and God has been taking care of us.
You may seem dead in body, but you still remain alive forever in my heart.”
She recalls memories that bring both tears and warmth: “Any time I remember the moments I spent with you, they always bring me to tears. But now I have moved on and learned to live without you.
“I will forever remember your work and advice. I know you are watching over us and praying for us.
“I will see you again. I love you.”
Her words echo the collective sentiment of many: she lived well, she loved deeply, and she left a spiritual imprint impossible to erase.

From the United Kingdom, Dr Aduke Ipingbemi mused: “I remember when both our families were waiting on God for the fruit of the womb. She always encouraged me, speaking words of faith as though she were not in the same situation. Oh God… I still recall how genuinely she prayed for me after she conceived and gave birth to DideOluwa, even while we were still waiting. Today, God has honoured those prayers — I am a mother.
