MANCHESTER United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has been on the headlines after leaving the touchline during their clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, 19th of October, 2022.
The Portuguese International and five-time Ballon D’or winner, out of frustration, left the pitch in the 89th-minute of the game after Head Coach Erik Ten Hag refused to bring him on in the game.
Stonix News recalled that due to his transfer saga and the club not ready to sell him, Cristiano Ronaldo did not take part in the team’s pre-season friendlies, which technically, was a very important part of their season, following the appointment of the club’s new manager, Erik Ten Hag.
Stonix News also gathered that since the beginning of the 2022/2023 season, the record goal scorer has been struggling to get goals and also, has had several poor performances on the pitch, which have seen him coming off the bench in most of their games.
According to a tweet posted by a popular football pundit, Laurie Whitwell, the Portuguese forward did not only leavethe touchline during their game with Tottenham Hotspur, he departed Old Trafford before the final whistle.

“Absence didn’t really register in dressing room, which was vibrant with celebrations”, He tweeted.
Goals from two midfielders, Fred and Bruno Fernandes helped the home side secure all three points in the encounter.
