Nigerians Set To Hold Memorial For EndSARS Fallen Heroes

NIGERIAN youths, who were involved in the 2020 ENDSARS protests, are set to hold second year memorial for those that were allegedly killed by the Nigerian Army on October 20, 2020.

Stonix News had reported that Nigerian youths, who were protesting and calling for an end to Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and police brutality, were allegedly shot at while waving the Nigerian flag at Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos.

The memorial procession, according to a flier shared on social media platforms, will kick start by 8:00a.m to 11am at the popular Lekki Toll Gate on Thursday, October 20, 2022.

It was stated in the flier that the exercise is for those that were lost to police brutality.

The activities of the memorial exercise include ‘walk and drive through the toll gate,’ ‘blasting of horns and singing in unison,’ and waving of the Nigerian flags.

“In memory of those who were killed on October 20, 2020 and those we have lost to police brutality, we will:

“Walk and drive through the toll gate, blast horns, sing and chant in unison through the toll gate and wave our flags.

“Citizens are encouraged to visit the Toll Gate throughout the day to pay their respects to the dead in their own way.
