IBADAN – Another major accident involving a fully loaded petrol tanker and a trailer truck occurred on Thursday, February 6, 2025, along the Ojoo-Iwo Road expressway, precisely at The Apostolic Church junction.
This incident is coming just a few weeks after a similar crash on the same route claimed two lives as reported exclusively by your darling Stonix News.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Thursday accident occurred around 5:00p.m, leaving petrol gushing out of the tanker upon impact.
As of 8:00a.m Friday morning, when our correspondent visited the scene, the fuel was still leaking heavily, saturating the road and the pedestrian bypass.

The situation has left commuters stranded, with light vehicular movement disrupting the daily activities of workers and students heading to their various destinations.

Shockingly, as of 8:22a.m, no fire service personnel or security agencies had arrived at the scene to manage the spill and prevent potential disaster.
The flowing fuel has spread for almost a kilometre, raising serious concerns about the safety of lives and properties in the area.
Residents and business owners nearby expressed deep fear, with one eyewitness stating, “The entire family did not sleep at their house overnight due to the scare of an impending explosion.”

However before their arrival, a northern folk, who declined his name, was seen with four kegs of fuel standing by the road side.
