HOODLUMS have reportedly taken over some parts of Ibadan, dispossessing the public of their belongings and burning bonfires over scarcity of new naira notes.
A source monitoring the development from a vantage point at the gate of the University of Ibadan said the hoodlums are snatching phones from committees, adding that the UI gate has been shut.
“As I speak, the boys are destroying things in sight; they’re dispossessing people of their phones and other items,” he narrated.
The source said no security operatives could be sighted as the protests rage towards Ojoo, Sango and other parts of the state ..
