A Lagos-bank-building fire has injured no fewer than nine persons at Adeola Odeku Street in Victoria Island of Lagos State.
Stonix News gathered that the bank building was under construction when it caught fire which source is being linked to the generating set compartment.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said the nine persons, all male adults, suffered burns and injuries and were taken to an undisclosed hospital.
“Investigation gathered at the scene revealed the fire emanated from the generator house,” LASEMA said.
A car belonging to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) was also burnt outside the building.
First responders including officials of LASEMA, Lagos Fire Service and Rescue, among others prevented the fire from spreading, adding that the dampening down of the incident scene is ongoing.
