Dangote Signs Major Investment Deal With Zimbabwe


ZIMBABWEAN President Emmerson Mnangagwa announced on Wednesday evening that his government has signed a major global investment agreement with Nigerian billionaire businessman, Aliko Dangote.

In a post on X, the president said the agreement between Zimbabwe and the Dangote Group focuses on key sectors including energy, cement, fertiliser, and infrastructure development — all aimed at advancing Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 agenda.

“I met Nigerian businessman Mr Aliko Dangote, who is in Zimbabwe to explore investment opportunities,” President Mnangagwa wrote, expressing optimism that the partnership will strengthen economic ties between Zimbabwe and Nigeria while boosting industrial growth and job creation.
