FOLLOWING the departure of former boss Leam, English Championship club, Wigan Athletic, has appointed Ivorian International, Kolo Touré as their new first team coach.

The announcement and unveiling of the newly-appointed coach was made on Wednesday, 7th of December, on the club’s official handles.
Kolo Touré, while reacting to his three-and-half year contract with the Championship side, described his new appointment as a ‘great opportunity.’
”Wigan is a good club, and when the opportunity came, I was very, very excited.

“This is a great opportunity for me at this point in my career, for my staff as well, and we are looking forward to it.
“It’s a great challenge for me, a great challenge. For me, it’s perfect.
“The last manager, Leam, did a great, great job in bringing the team up into the Championship.
“I and my staff will be trying now to push on to the next level.
“This is an unbelievable challenge in front of us, and we’re looking forward to it”, he said.
Ahead of his first official game against Millwall this weekend, Kalo Touré has become the first African to be appointed as the Coach of an English senior Football Club.
